My team and I had the pleasure of photographing Janet and Nikko’s engagement portraits and I couldn’t wait to get the chance to post the images online. Janet and Nikko were hilarious (in an adorable way) and had me and my team cracking up the whole time we were shooting.
Janet and I had talked about shooting at several different local locations and by the end of the conversation, we had selected an iconic Indianapolis location that is well-known to most residents of the city. We decided to shoot at The Canal Walk, which is a part of the Indiana Central Canal, located near downtown Indianapolis and right off of IUPUI’s campus.
An important factor during the planning of any photo shoot is always the location. This is even more true when planning for engagement photography or portrait sessions. My New York City and in-studio Indianapolis engagement photography sessions are always a bunch of awesomeness but, as much as I scream Central Park at the top of my lungs, I really love the Canal Walk and shooting there gave me even more things to feel awesome about.
I’m looking forward to their wedding next summer in beautiful Florida and I know it’s going to be awesome.
Here are some of my favorites from the day with Janet and Nikko!!
